As we fast approach Christmas, please be aware of “smishing” - a type of scam involving large-scale deceptive text messages sent to many people at once, often containing a link to click. These messages typically claim to be from reputable companies.

✅ How to Protect Yourself:

Do not click links or open attachments from unknown or suspicious numbers.

Never respond to messages requesting passwords, bank details, PINs, or verification codes.

Verify independently by contacting the organisation using official contact details (not those in the message).

Report suspicious messages to your mobile provider or via www.actionfraud.police.uk.
