Crime Updates - Colville Ward

I wanted to share some of the great work your local policing team has been doing recently, as well as highlight a few important appeals and community matters.

✅ Recent Highlights

Swift Arrest on Ladbroke Grove (29 Nov): While on patrol, officers spotted a male who had failed to appear in court three days earlier. Thanks to the quick actions of PC Charles, he was arrested and will now face justice.

Supporting Victims in Court (1 Dec): PC Baxter attended Crown Court for a complex harassment case, supporting a victim she has worked with since February 2024. On the day of trial, the defendant already in prison for another matter pleaded guilty. A big step forward for justice and victim support.

Mental Health Partnership (2 Dec): We assisted the mental health team in executing a warrant, ensuring the vulnerable individual receives the right care going forwards.

Criminal Damage Arrest (3 Dec): We located and arrested a male wanted for criminal damage. He was suspected of throwing a brick through the window of a commercial premises - a reckless act that could have caused serious harm.

Violence Against Women and Girls Event (4 Dec): Despite the wet and windy evening, over 20 local officers joined forces at Notting Hill Gate for our largest-ever VAWG engagement event. We were joined by volunteers, including the brave victim from Monday’s court case - a powerful show of community strength.

🔜 Looking Ahead

On Wednesday, we’ll be back in court seeking an extension of a closure order for a property in Powis Square. This will allow the housing association time to complete legal proceedings against the tenant. A huge thank you to residents who provided impact statements - your courage in providing these makes a real difference.

We’re investigating an assault on Friday 21st November at around 15:40 on Colville Terrace near Colville Gardens. If you witnessed anything, please get in touch.

📰 Community Concern: E-Bikes

We know badly parked E-Bikes are frustrating for many residents. The council is working on this issue, and we encourage you to report problem areas on the ward to the street enforcement team. Your feedback helps us keep our streets safe and accessible.
