Appeal following collision in Royston |

Police are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Royston. The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 11.10pm on Friday 5 December on Old North Road. It is alleged that a blue Vauxhall Vivaro was traveling along the road when for reasons unknown at this time, the driver collided with a pedestrian. Officers attended along with colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service. A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 29-year-old man from Royston was arrested shortly after in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody at this time. Detective Inspector Jon Leak who is investigating said: “I am appealing for any information from members of the public who might have witnessed this incident. “If you saw the incident take place or saw anything that happened prior to the incident, please contact police. “If you have a dash cam fitted and were driving in the area at the time, please check it as you may have captured some important footage which could assist with our investigation.
