Uninsured driver arrested after a positive drug test and vehicle seized

Good evening,

We want to inform our community about recent action taken today by our town centre officers to keep our roads safe.

While on mobile patrol in in Stockport our officers noticed a suspicious vehicle. 

Following a brief investigation we made the following findings…

1.The vehicle was uninsured .

2.The driver failed a roadside drug test

Action taken…

1.The vehicle has been seized.

2.The male driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

Remember : Driving under the influence of drugs or without proper insurance puts every road user at risk.

If you suspect someone is driving illegally, please do not hesitate to report this to the police.
