Safer Neighbourhood team update |
||
|
A quick update to let you know what we and our colleagues have been up to in and around Leominster in the last week.
On Thursday our roads policing team seized a vehicle in Leominster for driving with red diesel. The male was also arrested for drug driving offences. A good result and another danger off our roads,
Following that, our very own safer neighbourhood officer Pc Holder stopped a van in Leominster with three males in smelling of cannabis. The driver was promptly arrested for failing the drug test (tested positive for cannabis and cocaine). All three were dealt with for possession of cannabis (even the one that tried to conceal his behind the hula hoops in a shop!).
Not to feel left out, our dog handler was deployed to a male that had been in to a local Leominster shop and taken a gold coin worth £3,500. CCTV assisted and the male was located near the train station by Pc Dumbrell and his trusted sidekick police dog PD Fende. They were able to locate the male, his belongings (which he ditched to confuse the clothing description) and the gold coin! A fantastic result, especially as the male was wanted on warrant by four other police forces.
We have also attended policing surgeries, coffee with a cop, multi agency meetings, mobile and foot patrols, poaching operations and crime reassurance visits to name just a few of our daily jobs.
If you have information about drug or drink drivers, please get in touch with a member of our team at leominster.snt@westmercia.police.uk.,
