Off Road Bike - Dunscroft

On Sunday last week Doncaster East NPT Officers were patrolling the usual hot spots around Hatfield & Dunscroft for the use off road Motorbikes. 

The use of off road bikes has declined in recent weeks, due to some effective deterrents and the obvious change in weather conditions.

On this morning however 3 off road bikes were seen to be travelling around Hatfield and Dunscroft, braving the cold weather.

Using spontaneous tactics, officers were able to stop one of the bikes trying to make an escape on Unity Way. 

The male rider was reported on summons for a number of offences including, No Licence, No Insurance and No Helmet.

The bike has been seized and will not be returned.

The illegal use of off-road bikes is not only dangerous for the riders but for other road users and members of the public.

We will take positive action against the riders of these bikes using ASB Powers and the road traffic act.
