We have received reports of vehicle interference in your area. Individuals have been seen pulling car door handles to check if vehicles are insecure. This is often an attempt to gain access to vehicles and steal items from the vehicle.

Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road. Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible

Never leave anything on display in your car. The cost to repair damage to the vehicle will usually exceed the value of the theft

Drivers of some Toyota and Honda vehicles and some 4 x 4’s should install measures to deter theft of catalytic converts e.g Catloc | Catalytic Convertor Theft Protection

Lock your vehicle every time you leave it, even for a short period.

Check windows are fully closed.

Do not leave keys inside the vehicle.

Consider security measures such as steering wheel locks, alarms, and dashcams.

Report suspicious activity immediately via 101 or 999 in an emergency.
