Successful Action Against Squatting – Property Returned to the Owner |
||
|
Boleyn and Plaistow North officers have successfully taken back the house that was being squatted and returned it to the legal owner.
Local residents reported that the property was empty for renovation, and during the holiday period a group of women and mens had moved in without any permission. The owner was extremely frustrated and contacted police through Met Engage.
Officers attended, carried out checks, and confirmed the group had no legal right to be in the house and could not show any proof of rent or tenancy. A written warning was served and a time frame was given. The group left the address, and the property is now back with the rightful owner.
Thank you to the residents for reporting the issue and supporting the investigation.
