Threat related incident.

Dear Resident,

At around 13:10 on 13th December, an incident involving threats with a bladed article was reported in Leigh. Thanks to quick action from the Leigh Town Centre Policing Team, who were just minutes away, officers responded immediately.

A description of the suspects was shared, and local CCTV was reviewed without delay. Within fifteen minutes, two males aged 18 and 43 were arrested and taken into custody. The bladed article was also recovered.

This was a great example of teamwork in action – everything fell into place at the right time. Officers were nearby, members of the public stepped in to give vital directions, and Wigan Council’s CCTV team worked swiftly to track the suspects.

As a result, two individuals will now be spending Christmas somewhere very different from what they planned – but thanks to everyone’s efforts, our streets will be that little bit safer over the festive period.
