Festive Crime Prevention Advice

Happy Holidays.

At this time of the year Burglaries can go up, and we would like to pass on some Crime Prevention Advice during the Holidays.

At Home:

Remember to lock your doors, even when you are in.

Don't leave Festive Presents in full view.

Check with your household insurance to make sure you have the correct cover for extra items.

If going out for the evening, give the impression the house is occupied by leaving lights and television/radio on.  Shut the curtains.

If going on holiday, redirect mail, cancel newspaper deliveries and make sure you wheelie bin is taken in.

Callers at your door:

Fit a door chain or bar, and use it.

Only deal with callers by appointment.

Don't keep large sums of money at home.

Do not let anyone in your home until you have confirmed their identity

Genuine callers from companies will have identification and wont mind if you ask to see it.

If in Doubt Keep them out.
