Dear residents of LYNDON,
Here are the crime updates for LYNDON between 6th of DECEMBER 2025- 14th of DECEMBER 2025.
VEHICLE CRIME
Marcot Road-A Ford Transit van was stolen. It was later found on false plates and recovered in Kings Heath, Birmingham, after receiving data from the van’s tracker.
Butler Road-A Land Rover defender was stolen. The vehicle was located in Yardley Wood, Birmingham after a Facebook appeal resulted in information being passed to the owner who recovered it.
Ulleries Road-There was an attempt motorbike theft at Fitness First. 5 suspects arrived on 3 different motorbikes/mopeds and were seen to be tampering with the bike. They were unsuccessful after several gym users came out and convinced them not to steal it.
Daylesford Road- There was a theft from motor vehicle. The suspect broke in to a Ford Focus and stole the driver’s seat. They fled the scene but were later found by Police and arrested.
GENERAL ADVICE
The nights are getting darker again and it’s a time of year when we typically see a rise in burglaries.
Criminals often take advantage of the cover of darkness and empty homes, so it’s important to stay one step ahead and make sure your property is protected.
Lock your windows and doors, even if you’re only stepping out for a short time.
Close your curtains or blinds when you leave the house to keep valuables out of sight.
Use light timers to give the impression someone is home, especially if you’re out during the evening.
Keep car keys away from doors and windows, particularly if you have a keyless entry vehicle.
Criminals can use signal-boosting devices to steal cars parked outside. A Faraday pouch is a simple way to block these signals and reduce the risk.

ON THE GOOD SIDE
The team have arrested three suspects this past week for domestic violence offences safeguarding the victims and securing positive outcomes.
Two shoplifters have been charged and will appear before the courts.
The team have been increasing visibility in our burglary hot spot areas in the lead up to Christmas as this is a typically very busy period. We continue to be committed to reduce burglary and catch offenders.
