CCTV appeal: do you recognise these people? |
||
|
Dear Resident We have released further images of people we would like to speak to as part of our continued efforts to clamp down on retail crime in Carpenders Park. You can view our appeal, and the images, on our Facebook page. Since the launch of a targeted, police-led operation in October, the number of recorded thefts in the Co-op store in Delta Gain has fallen by almost 70%. The constabulary’s Operation Hotspot team are continuing to build on this work with Oxhey’s Neighbourhood Policing Team and Co-op staff to further reduce the number of thefts at the store. This comes after police data estimated it was the hardest hit location for retail crime in the county, losing thousands of pounds each week to shoplifting. As a result of the team’s collaborative efforts, a 15 year old boy from South Oxhey has been charged with seven counts of theft, in connection with groceries stolen from the shop on several occasions throughout October this year. He has been bailed – with conditions not to enter the store – and a plea hearing has been scheduled at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 21 January 2026. | ||
