Appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage following road traffic collision in Eastleigh

We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh. The incident took place approximately one quarter of a mile from the roundabout, at the junction with Passfield Avenue.

During the incident, which occurred at approximately 9.21pm on Thursday 11 December, there was a collision between an electric bike and a stationary Ford Transit van.

The rider – a teenage boy – sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and remains in hospital at this time. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

As part of our investigation, we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Did you witness anything of the collision, either the moments leading up to it, or the aftermath?
