Partial closure order for a property in the Town Centre |
Dear Resident
A partial closure order has been secured for a property in #HemelHempstead following reports of persistent anti-social behaviour. The order was granted at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (17 December) and prevents anyone except the named tenant from entering the address in the town centre area for three months. Anyone who breaches the order faces arrest. Sergeant Chris Bignell, from the Dacorum Community Safety Unit, said: “We’d receive numerous complaints regarding the behaviour of visitors to the address, including screaming, shouting and banging at all times of day and night. This was causing fear among the local community, as well as putting the tenant at risk. “We tried several methods to resolve the issues but sadly they continued. As a result, police and partner agencies have worked together to ensure that the tenant can remain in their home, while also providing some respite to residents who have suffered. “This is the third such order we’ve obtained in Dacorum since the start of November and I hope this sends a clear message to those intent on causing misery among local communities that this behaviour will not be tolerated. “If you are experiencing similar behaviour in your neighbourhood, please continue to report it. Every call helps us build up the intelligence we need to take action.” You can report information online at https://orlo.uk/itY13, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at https://orlo.uk/DUGra or call the non-emergency number 101.
