Dear Resident, Please find below a message from Emmey, Assistant Producer on BBC One's Morning Live program. If you have had a burglary incident in 2025, through your front or back door, reported it to the Police, and would like to apply for a chance to present your incident to the BBC, please reply to this message. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello Northamptonshire’s Neighbourhood Watch group, My name is Emmey, I’m an Assistant Producer on Morning Live on BBC One. We’re a live daily programme on after BBC Breakfast and we cover a range of crime, consumer and health topics. We’re developing a film about the safety of our external doors, and what to look out for when buying a new front or back door when it comes to safety. We’re hoping to go to a testing facility for door safety in the new year, which is based in Kettering, so we’re looking for a local case study that we could talk to as part of our filming too. Ideally this person would have experience of being burgled through their front, or back door which they believed was secure. This would help us highlight that this is an issue people do face. If there is someone within your team who has a story to share, and would be comfortable sharing it on camera would you please ask them to reach out to me? Please share this request as widely as possible, but of course, I cannot guarantee that filming of this story will go ahead as it’s in the development stage. We’re hoping to raise awareness about products that pass safety tests and other advice on how to secure your room and maintain your doors. Any questions and I’ll happily have a conversation with you. Thank you for your continued support of Neighbourhood Watch. Warm regards, Parul Mill Road and Midland Road Scheme Lead | ||
