|
We are releasing CCTV of two men we would like to speak to in relation to an assault in New Mills. The incident happened when the victim was hit by another man on Rock Street, near to The Pride of the Peaks pub, at about 6.10pm on Saturday 1 November. The victim, a 22-year-old man, sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. It is believed there were two men present at the time of the assault and both of them walked away onto Market Street following the incident before entering The Pride of the Peaks pub. One of the two men, who is believed the have hit the victim, is described as wearing a dark jumper with a small light logo on the left side of the chest and he was also wearing a baseball cap. The other man who was at the scene was wearing a dark jumper with a white stripe and writing across the chest. Officers have made extensive enquiries since the incident but the suspects remain outstanding. We have today released CCTV images of two men we would like to speak with in relation to the assault. We appreciate the incident happened nearly two months ago and the CCTV isn’t the clearest. However, we are hoping someone may recognise the men, or their clothing, and come forward.
