Foot patrol (29/12/2025)

Back from an all too brief Christmas break, Rick and Lee took on the ward's open spaces today, with anti-social behaviour (ASB) and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), a ward priority, in mind (4.74 miles).

It began with 2.26 miles around the Eastbrookend Country Park and Reserve (12.09pm, p), including Hooks Hall Pond and the Black Poplar Wood (12.56pm), followed by a trip through Fels Field.

Central Park (1.28pm, p) also saw coverage, with three playgrounds checked on before heading along Park Drive and further south via the May and Baker Social Club.

"The ward has the luxury of a lot of green space and whether you're out walking the dog, walking yourself or trying out a two-wheeled Christmas present, we'll continue to show a presence in our parks."
