Re - Scam Call from Fake Metropolitan Police Officer - Hammersmith Police Station

Please be aware that Harpenden Police have today attended two separate senior residents who have avoided being scammed on the phone by a fake Metropolitan police officer claiming to be from Hammersmith Police Station.

The fake officer claimed to have the victim's bank card , which was seized from an arrested male. The officer claimed he was an Inspector from Hammersmith Police Station and then attempted to get the card details in full from the victim.

Genuine Police would not make such a call nor ask for such details from the public. This is a SCAM.
