Dear Resident, Whilst the team may not have been working Christmas day or Boxing day the lead up to Christmas and the days since have still been busy. The team have dealt with Five arrests/prisoners in the last week. These have been for offences from Assault to multiple shoplifting offences. On Christmas Eve two of our officers stopped a vehicle and upon searching the driver they found the driver in possession of cannabis. The driver attempted to run from the officers by jumping garden fences however he was caught by the officer. The male failed a roadside drugs wipe following a result for cannabis and cocaine. The male was transported to Coventry central where he remained until Christmas day. The vehicle was seized for having no insurance. As always, our team have seized a number of vehicles in over Christmas for offences ranging from No insurance, No Tax and driving on a provisional licence. This Audi was seized for no insurance, and the driver was driving on a provisional licence.
Two of our PCSOs joined the search on Christmas Eve for a missing 8-year-old child. After attending the area, they decided to check the roads outside of the initial search location and found the child walking down the road. He was returned to his parents. Officers on the team have been taking part and supporting other colleagues on night-time economy, operational support at football matches and Project Servator.
Crime Figures There were Two reported vehicle offence in the period 18/12/25 - 30/12/25 on the Radford Ward. These were and interference with motor vehicle offence that took place on Chorley Way and a theft of motor vehicle that took place on St Nicholas Street.
There were Two reported burglary offence in the period 18/12/25 - 30/12/25 on the Radford Ward. These were both Residential Burglaries of a Home that took place on Thamley Road and Mossdale Close (Garage/Shed)
