Afternoon Met Engage Team, Ilford Town Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out a crime prevention engagement stall in Ilford Town Centre, located opposite Metro Bank, Ilford.

🕛 Time: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
📍 Location: Ilford Town Centre (opposite Metro Bank)
The purpose of this stall is to provide crime prevention advice and reassurance to members of the public. Officers will be available throughout the event to engage with residents, commuters, and visitors to the town centre.
Topics covered during the engagement will include:
- Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) awareness and personal safety advice
- Spiking awareness, including signs, prevention, and what to do if concerned
- How to spot a thief, including common indicators of suspicious behaviour
- General crime prevention advice, including protecting personal property and staying safe in public spaces
This engagement forms part of Ilford Town Ward SNT’s ongoing work to increase visibility, support community safety, and encourage confidence in reporting concerns. Members of the public are encouraged to come along, speak with their local officers, ask questions, and raise any issues affecting them in the area.
