I wanted to provide you an update regarding Violent crime, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. 🚔 NW10 Police Operation: Results and Impact
Last week in NW10, officers and staff carried out a targeted operation to tackle serious violence linked to a gang associated with multiple violent incidents. Eight simultaneous warrants were executed to disrupt their criminal activity, resulting in five arrests.
Inside one of the addresses, officers recovered a machete, a knuckle‑duster knife and a lock knife — all offensive weapons capable of causing devastating harm. They also seized a significant quantity of Class B drugs and approximately £3,000 in cash.
This was a well‑planned, highly professional operation led by North West Proactive Investigations and involved more than 120 officers and staff. It represents exactly the kind of proactive policing that suppresses gang violence and prevents families from experiencing tragic loss.
Operations like this are part of the wider effort that has contributed to reductions in shootings, falling levels of serious violence, and a continued decline in homicides.
Over the weekend, officers also seized an expensive car along with a moped. If you are driving without insurance, your vehicle will be detected and seized.
