Please keep the following advice in mind: Your home, your rules: You are under no obligation to let anyone inside if you feel uncomfortable.Be cautious: Doorstep sellers often target older or vulnerable people. Some may claim to be “reformed criminals” trying to turn their lives around, but this can be a tactic to gain trust.Signs help: Displaying a “No Cold Callers” sign can deter unwanted visitors.If they refuse to leave:- If you feel threatened or in immediate danger, call 999.
- If it’s not an emergency, report it via the non-emergency 101 number or online.
