*Bardon Beat Update**
This morning, our officers conducted speed enforcement operations in the areas of Thringstone and Ibstock, addressing the issue of speeding. Speeding is a significant contributor to serious collisions, and it remains one of our top priorities as we strive to ensure the safety of all residents in our community.
During our patrol on Loughborough Road in Thringstone, around 40 vehicles were monitored, the majority abiding to the speed limit and one driver being issued a traffic offence for traveling at 38 mph in a 30 mph zone. Meanwhile, on Station Road in Ibstock, our officers observed 150 vehicles, providing words of advice to three drivers regarding their speed.
No additional issues were identified during these operations. We strongly encourage all motorists to adhere to the posted speed limits and to promote safe driving practices within their communities. Together, let us work towards maintaining safe roads for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
