North East Oxford Neighbourhood Team – Weekly Update! As we cruise towards the end of another week, the North East Oxford Neighbourhood Team has once again been busy keeping our patch safe, solving problems, and getting those steps in (bike patrols count too… we’ve decided). Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to: 7 stop searches – with 6 positive results. Not bad odds if we say so ourselves. 4 arrests – safely brought in and dealt with. 2 Community Resolutions issued – helping resolve issues quickly and effectively. Cuckooing intervention: We assisted our colleagues in East Oxford after fast‑time information came in about a vulnerable person being cuckooed. This led to four arrests, a substantial amount of Class A drugs being seized (all prepared for dealing), and safeguarding put in place. We also attended High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court, where a Closure Order was granted. A solid result all round. Health & Safety warrant: Working alongside partner agencies, we supported the safe execution of a warrant at an address that had previously proven a challenge. Entry was made safely thanks to our efforts in preventing a breach of the peace. Patrols, patrols, and more patrols: We’ve completed over 100 patrols in hotspot locations this week—on foot and on bike—so if you saw us whizzing past, that’s why! Community engagement: We carried out 18+ engagements, mainly with retail premises frequently targeted by prolific offenders. Building relationships, sharing intelligence, and working together to keep businesses safe. Another productive week behind us, and plenty more ahead. Thank you to our communities for your continued support—teamwork really does make the dream work (and the paperwork slightly more bearable). Stay safe, North East Oxford! 💙🚓 |
