As we move through January, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: ASB relating to drug use and drug dealing, taking place inside and outside Ramsay House, Bescot Road, Pleck, Walsall.Preventing ASB & Crime in Palfrey Park and surrounding area.Preventing Burglaries in the Paddock & Palfrey ward due to seasonal trendsWe’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: SEED Hut - community forum Walsall council - joint outreach work with youth services NASH DOM - engaging with our Eastern European communitiesThese collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement Thank you to everyone who’s taken part in: Input at junior school in PaddockPACT meeting on 14/01/26 at Talke Road ChurchStreet watch patrols in PaddockYour involvement makes a real difference. If you’d like to get involved, please reach out! 📅 Important Dates 22/04/26 PACT meeting at Pleck Methodist Church, Bescot Rd🎉 Upcoming Events Cuppa with Copper at NASHDOM community hub, Sun St, 19/01/26 1200-1300Community coffee morning, Palfrey Infants school, Bescot st, 05/02/26, 0900-1015Police Surgery, St Johns Church, Scarborough Rd, 07/02/26, 1100-1200We’d love to see you there—these events are a great way to connect and share ideas. 🗞️ Round-Up from All Wards Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch: Arrested a male for being possession of 2 knives Arrested a male for possession with intent to supply class A drugsArrested a male for assaultArrested a female for shop theft Assisted our St Matthews colleagues executing a warrant under S23 misuse of drugs act in which 1700 plants were seized, one of the biggest seizures in recent times in Walsall. Attended engagements and meetings Dealt with numerous drivers for driving offences taking those off our roads causing harm driving without licences and insurance.Used search powers effectively and have recovered drugs from a number of peopleThank you for your continued support and engagement.
