PACT priorities update

PACT Priority 1 – Parking

BCBC patrol vehicle has patrolled several locations across the ward and vehicles sighted committing offences will be dealt with by details in the post. BCBC Enforcement Officers have also been patrolling areas on foot and have issued tickets for vehicles parked on double yellow lines and blocking dropped kerbs. Targeted Police patrols (Mobile and foot) resulted in vehicles being moved on and drivers educated on road safety concerns.

PACT Priority 2 – Concern for safety – Subway

Regular Police patrols were carried out people spoken to with regards to cycling through the subway. PCSO’s attended the schools and pupils were educated on the highway signage and concerns raised. There have been no further issues with the lighting since National Grid attended and rectified the issue. Further requests have been made by Police and Councillors to BCBC for the mirror to be replaced. 

Residents’ concerns

Fly tipping – Lane linking Glan Road to Mackworth Road

Coney Beach – Large heavy waste vehicles using Mackworth Road as route in/out to site

Parking concerns – Outside Brogden pub and lane to side that links New Road to Nicholls Avenue

Rhych Avenue – Campervans being abandoned 

E-Bikes/Scooters – Vehicles being used inappropriately

Meadow Lane – Large delivery vehicle reversing long distance to destination
