Dear Resident The local policing team is aware of ongoing concerns regarding the condition of Grange Road, specifically the number of potholes and the general deterioration of the road surface. Following reports received from both officers and members of the public, these issues have now been formally reported to the relevant highways authority for assessment and action reference 8725905. We appreciate that there are a number of roads across the wider area currently experiencing similar problems; however, Grange Road is particularly badly affected, and the condition of the road has the potential to cause damage to vehicles and present a risk to road users if not navigated with care. | |
At this stage, responsibility for repairs sits with the highways authority, and we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates where appropriate. In the meantime, we would like to reassure residents that the issue has been raised and is known. Until remedial work is carried out, we kindly ask all drivers, cyclists, and other road users to take extra care when using Grange Road, reduce speed where possible, and remain alert to road surface hazards in order to minimise the risk of damage to vehicles and improve safety for everyone. Thank you for your patience and understanding while this matter is being addressed.
