Phone Call Fraud

Good Afternoon All,

It’s a bit windy out there today.

I hope you are all keeping safe.

This photo is one a took last year outside the Police Station.

Today’s message is all about scam phone calls.

Unfortunately we have had one reported to us where a person has had a phone call from a male pretending to be a police officer.

The male has said that there is an issue with their bank account and they need to withdraw the money and somebody will come and collect it.

The Police will never ask you to do this.

We will never ask you to pass over details that include card numbers and PIN numbers.

At the bottom there is a section called how to check an officer’s identity.

Have a look at that one for me to please.
