Burglary An attempted burglary at a shop on Alpine Way. The store shutters were damaged, but fortunately they did their job and prevented entry.Robbery A mobile phone robbery in Newling Close yesterday. The suspect and victim were known to each other, and the suspect is currently in custody.A further robbery occurred on Clapps Gate Lane on 18 January. A vehicle pulled up alongside another, the driver exited and, using threats and by slapping the vicim, made the victim transfer money to his account.Theft of Motor Vehicles A vehicle was stolen from the Premier Inn car park on 15 January. The owner later located the car nearby.Another vehicle was stolen from the same location on 19 January and was later recovered in Umbriel Place, E13.Theft From Vehicle On 16 January, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Tesco car park.Phone Snatches Near Vulcan Close, a victim on a motorbike had their phone snatched while both parties were in motion.A cycle-enabled phone snatch occurred on Tollgate Road yesterday. Please keep phones out of sight where possible.Other Theft A wheelie bin was stolen from outside a property on Vulcan Close.Thank you for taking the time to read this update.
