2026 - Week 3

Hello

I hope you’re all warm and well. Let’s dive straight in and give you an overview of street crime in Custom House in this 3rd week of the year.

Burglary

A residential Burglary in Sheer Water Road. Entry was gained by a kitchen window and a small amount of cash was taken. CID are investigating and we are also very keen to get our hands on this burglar.

Robbery

This is an attempted Robbery of a phone and airpods in Ringlet Close on the 15th Jan. The Victim fought back and the Suspects ran away. Suspects were approximately 15 years old wearing black clothing.

Theft of Motor Vehicles

On the 19th Jan, a Ford Transit was stolen from Otley Road in the middle of the night.

Theft From Vehicle

On 16th, 18th & 19th Two lots of numberplates and a catalytic Converter was stolen from Hammersley Road, Hands Walk & Hooper Road.

Public Order (Road Rage)

In PR Lane on 17th at around 2.45pm. A build up traffic led to a build up of frustration. Shouting ensued putting the other driver in fear of violence.

There have been Zero phone snatches in Custom House but a few around Canning Town Station so please be mindful when walking to and from the station.
