Good afternoon All, As you may or may not be aware of the recent burglaries that have occurred in the neighbourhood and most recently around MILTON ROAD and GREENFORD AVENUE W7. We want to reassure residents that these incidents are being taken seriously. Today, uniformed patrols were carried out between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm as part of our ongoing efforts to deter further offences and provide reassurance to the community. As Residents you can all help reduce the risk of burglary by taking a few simple but effective precautions; 🔒 Secure Your HomeAlways lock doors and windows, even if you’re only going out briefly.Use deadlocks and ensure doors and frames are in good condition.Lock garages and sheds—tools can be used to break into homes.💡 Make Your Home Look OccupiedUse timer switches for lights when you’re out, especially in the evening.Consider security lighting, particularly at the front and rear of your property.Avoid leaving notes or parcels that show you are away.📦 Be Careful with DeliveriesDon’t leave parcels on display.Ask a trusted neighbour to take in deliveries if you’re not home.Dispose of packaging discreetly—don’t advertise expensive purchases.🚗 Vehicles and KeysLock vehicles and remove valuables every time.Keep car keys and house keys out of sight, away from doors and windows.If you have a keyless car, consider a signal‑blocking pouch.👀 Look Out for Each OtherGet to know your neighbours and report anything suspicious.If you’re going away, ask a neighbour to keep an eye on your property.Join or support your Neighbourhood Watch scheme if available.📞 Report Suspicious BehaviourTrust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, report it.Call 999 if a crime is happening now.Use 101 or online reporting for non‑emergency concerns. |
