Speed enforcement

Dear residents,

Thank you for taking the local priority survey recently,  we note that you highlighted Dangerous driving / speeding in the survey so we wanted to provide you with an update on this local matter.

Today the 21st of January 2026, Clapham Park safer neighbourhood officers monitored traffic and implemented speed limit in Kings avenue.  We stopped few people as they were driving a little over 20mph, which is the limit.

We will keep monitoring kings avenue as we've received reports regarding speed on that road. 

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
