Operation Takeaway - No Insurance - Armthorpe

This week Doncaster East NPT Officers were in attendance at a property on Poplar Place, Armthorpe when they saw this Black VW Golf drive past. 

The driver was instantly recognised by Officers who made eye contact with the male in the drivers seat.

The vehicle was checked and it was found the male was not insured to drive the vehicle.

Thinking he had made good his escape, the driver continued his journey home.

Officers searched the area for the vehicle, finding it parked a matter of yards from the front door of his home address. 

No Insurance = Operation Takeaway. 

Whilst waiting for the vehicle to be recovered the driver decided to approach officers, claiming to have never driven the vehicle.

Quite the commotion was caused, but the result remained the same, the vehicle was seized and taken to a Police compound.

Please ensure if you are driving a vehicle on a road, you are fully insured and hold the correct driving licence.

If Officers find you driving without the necessary legal requirements, your car will be sized and you may have to attend court.

In this case Officers may have been dealing with something unrelated, but they are always looking!
