Vigilance urged following high-value burglaries elsewhere in the county |

Message from Inspector Dave Wise – Evesham & Pershore Safer Neighbourhood Teams
I want to make residents in Evesham and Pershore aware of a series of high-value burglaries that have taken place in other parts of Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
At this time, these offences are not impacting homes in Evesham or Pershore, and there is no specific intelligence to suggest our communities are being targeted. However, the incidents are believed to be linked, and it is important that we remain vigilant and take sensible precautions.
The burglaries have involved the theft of jewellery, cash, and other high-value items. In many cases, offenders have entered properties from the rear during the evening, particularly when homes are unoccupied and unlit. The suspects are believed to be white men in their late teens or early twenties. Their faces are usually covered, and they sometimes wear red gloves.
A black BMW is also believed to be connected to the burglaries. Some CCTV images have been released.
A full investigation is ongoing, with specialist officers working to identify and bring those responsible to justice. We are also working closely across districts, and local patrols remain alert to any suspicious activity.
What you can do: While responsibility for these crimes lies entirely with the offenders, there are some simple steps residents can take to reduce vulnerability:
If you see anyone acting suspiciously around homes, vehicles or gardens, please report it. If a burglary is in progress, do not approach anyone involved – call 999 immediately.
Reporting information: If you have information that could help police enquiries, you can report it directly to West Mercia Police via 101 or online. You can also pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
We will continue to keep residents informed through Neighbourhood Matters. Our priority is keeping communities safe, informed, and reassured – and ensuring those responsible are held to account.
