Community event in Repton - Burns' Night

Last night, (Saturday 24 January), on a very damp and wet evening, your local officer attend Repton Village Hall and observed a fantastic community event celebrating Burns' Night.

The event, which was organised by an amazing team of community-spirited volunteers, was set up to mark the occasion and bring people together for a delicious, traditional Scottish two-course meal - including haggis, neeps and tatties.

Proceeds from the event have been donated to St Wystan's Church, Repton.

It was wonderful to see so many residents joining in and taking part - and it was fantastic for our local officer to catch-up with local people and offer crime prevention advice.

Later in the evening, further patrols took place in Willington and Findern.
