Winter of action update | Shoplifter arrested & remanded |
||
|
Hello Resident
Following the beady eyes of PCSOs patrolling the area of Tescos, St Mellons - A wanted male was sighted and detained by officers, despite an attempt to make off.
The 41-year-old man, has been charged with 6 shoplifting offences that have taken place across Llanrumney and St Mellons. He has been remanded and an application for a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) has been implemented.
CBOs are often used against persistent offenders, such as those involved in shoplifting and ASB and designed to prevent individuals from engaging in further ASB and criminal activity. These orders contain requirements and prohibitions from entering defined areas. Breaching a CBO is a criminal offence.
Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response? You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999. | ||
