I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. 👮🏽♂️Ward Patrol Update – Acton Gardens & Surrounding Areas 👮🏽♂️
Officers from the ward conducted patrols throughout the evening and night across Acton Gardens, The Mount, Morrisons car park, and South Acton Recreational Ground as part of our continued work to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB), drug use, and wider criminality affecting the area.
During these patrols, officers spent time within residential blocks, carrying out reassurance checks of courtyards, stairwells, and communal areas, which have previously been identified as locations vulnerable to ASB and drug use. These checks are aimed at deterring criminal activity, identifying issues early, and ensuring residents feel safe within their homes.
Throughout the night, officers stopped and searched a number of individuals where grounds existed, as part of proactive policing to disrupt drug related activity. As a result of these interactions, officers were able to gather valuable intelligence, which will be used to target repeat locations, identify individuals of concern, and inform future patrols and enforcement activity.
We continue to work closely with partners to address ongoing issues in the area and will maintain a visible police presence to prevent further ASB and criminality.
We encourage residents to report any concerns relating to drug use or ASB within their blocks or local area. When reporting, please provide as much detail as possible, including specific locations, descriptions, and the dates and times incidents are occurring, as this information is crucial in allowing us to take effective and timely action.
Thank you for your continued support, your information helps us keep Acton safe.
