Afternoon everyone, Here are some updates for you, in regards to the teams antics today.
Another early start. We're all yawning at this point. So we decide to get some fresh air and get out early doors, and some much needed coffee. Getting to Morden, we sort out a bus based dispute, and then a tree on the pavement. Whoever said “this job isn't varied” was clearly lying. Then it was off to sort out some dodgy school parking as some parents were reported as thinking it's totally fine to stop the traffic to let their little ones out. By parking on the hazards no less! Gladly the presence of our big bus-shaped deterrent stopped all that nonsense! But the kids loved it and one of our PCSOs gave out stickers so the children could proudly proclaim that they've “met the Met”. One of the best part of our job if we're honest.
Now, I want to talk car parks. Thrilling I know. But… We need to let you know of a scam going about. In Morden, there's a few car parks, and these, on different occasions, have been the lurking location of miscreants trying to steal your card details. One such scam is where a male dresses like a parking attendant and then swipes your card. Here's some helpful advice, in capital letters to drive it home.
Next, a call came in to a welfare check. Child on the line, so we have to make sure all are ok, which thankfully, all seemed good.
An arrest! Male. Wanted x7 for obsessively shoplifting. Straight to custody, then straight to court. but the team had to race and get a couple of things for his long stay, so all done. Great nick and very thankful shop owner.
Hope this helps! Oh, and here's the obligatory survey that the skipper tells me off if I don't add in. “It's good for community awareness, Dave.”
Have a great evening,
Dave and the Team
P.S If anyone wants, or you know anyone who needs to be added to this system, please email me! We need more residents! | ||
