Theft of Heating Oil - Woodend, Towcester |

Dear Resident We are investigating a theft of heating oil which occurred at Southfields Place, Woodend, Towcester. The theft occurred between 8pm on the 20th January 2026 and 8pm on the 26th January 2026, the oil was stolen from a storage tank at the property. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to the theft or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious. There are steps you can take to keep your oil tank safe: Hide the location of the tank Fit your oil tank with a padlock or lockable filler cap Secure the oil tank within a cage Install lockable gates Fit an electronic gauge, which can activate an alarm when the oil level drops Fit security lights near to the oil tank location Fit CCTV cameras Further security tips can be found on the Northamptonshire Police website and on the Neighbourhood Watch website.
