Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Nothing to report Burglary Other At 2.06am on Thursday 22 January at The White Swan, Devonshire Square, Sutton in Ashfield, two males with sledge hammers smashed a window to gain entry and stole cash from the till. At 4.00am a white male wearing a face mask, hoodie, joggers and white trainers entered through the broken window, damaged a pool table and a fruit machine before taking spirits from behind the bar. At 4.42am on Saturday 24 January in Clare Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a neighbour reported an attempt to break into a garage by two young males, skinny build, wearing dark cloths and ski masks, who ripped the door off. They ran off towards the primary school. Overnight Sunday 25 to Monday 26 January in Stoneyford Road, Sutton in Ashfield, an allotment shed was broken into and a hammer, chisel, crowbar, petrol can and gas stove cannisters were stolen. At 1.44am on Monday 26 January in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, two males wearing dark hooded tops and dark jogging bottoms forced the door to Kitchen Economy to gain entry and stole a number of boxes Theft of motor vehicle A report at 4.03pm on Friday 23 January of the theft of a black Volvo V50 estate car (not drivable) from a car park at some time during the past two weeks. Theft from motor vehicle Between 7.00pm on Saturday 24 and 11.10am on Sunday 25 January in Percy Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a Toyota Hilux Invincible was broken into and loose change, the keys to a caravan and keys for a trailer lock were stolen. At around 3.00am on Sunday 25 January in Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of teenagers dressed in black, with hoods up, removing items from a white Ford Transit Panel van parked at the road side. They placed the items into a red wheelie bin with the number 20 on it and pushed it away. Theft Nothing to report Criminal Damage At 12.15am on Saturday 24 January in Brierly Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a prepayment electricity meter in the communal area of a building was damaged and the supply cut off. At 6.30pm on Saturday 24 January in Maun Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a solar light in a garden was smashed. Between 8.00pm on Tuesday 27 and 11.47am on Wednesday 28 January in Brand Lane, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, the off side front and rear tyres of a white Vauxhall Astra were slashed.
