Targeted Patrols

🚓 Officers from the Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team have been conducting targeted patrols in response to a number of recent burglaries in the area.
These patrols have focused on affected locations, with officers engaging directly with residents and offering guidance on improving home security 🔐.

As part of this proactive work, officers have also been issuing SmartWater forensic marking kits 🧪. This supports efforts to deter offenders and assists in the identification and recovery of stolen property.

The increased police presence will continue over the coming days as part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding the community and preventing further incidents.

We know offenders often target unlit homes during the evening, so a timer light for inside lights is a useful security measure. 

We also know they often enter through the rear of properties so please take extra care to ensure rear and patio doors are secured and property kept in outbuildings, garages and sheds locked away when not in use. 

If your able to, consider installing motion sensor CCTV as this can be linked directly to a mobile device. 

Please consider taking photos of your property and possessions, or mark valuable's with SmartWater, for your own records and for insurance purposes, which would make them more easily identifiable if they were ever stolen.
