Good afternoon Ringwood,
I hope you are all well.
We have been busy as usual attending incidents of varying natures and assisting our response colleagues over the past couple of weeks.
We have also attended Ringwood C of E Infant School as part of their "Help Squad" week where they are tasked to try and speak with all manner of persons & agencies who help the public. They had a great time hearing about the police from their local officer, and it serves as a great opportunity to build bridges with the younger generation.
We have also had a recent court result where a well-known shoplifter has been given a prison sentence of 12 months for continued breaches on his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). Our communications department will release more shortly.
Today I have attended and helped a male in mental health crisis in a very remote location, using specialist police 4x4 capability. This was in order to safeguard him and get him the help that he needs. We wish him all the best and hope to hear from him when he is better.
In addition, we have been investigating various offences ranging from cyber crime to assault in the local area. There have also been a couple of new shoplifting incidents reported to us after a prolonged period of not having any. We will identify those involved in the coming days.
You may have also noticed a police presence on Ringwood High street on Wednesday. This was regarding a concern for welfare and thankfully was established to be all in order on arrival.
Standing water remains in places as well as hazardous road conditions so please take extra care and do not risk entering water in your vehicle if you do not know the depth.
Have a good weekend and look out for the court update soon!
