Uninsured vehicle seized by local police

Your local safer neighbourhood team officer observed a takeaway delivery driver who had left their car engine running on a local road yesterday, (Friday 30 January).

Checks revealed the driver did not have valid business insurance, resulting in the vehicle being seized at the roadside. The driver was also reported for a traffic offence and the vehicle will be subjected to a police mechanical examination. 

This action, in partnership with officers from Derby West SNT, highlights the importance of takeaway drivers ensuring they are properly insured.
