Understanding Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) & How to Report It

With one of #BardonBeats priorities being to tackle anti‑social behaviour, we wanted to remind you of all the different types of ASB. 

🔹 Types of Anti‑Social Behaviour

1️⃣ Noise Nuisance
• Loud music, shouting, parties, persistent noise
• Ongoing disturbances that affect daily life or sleep

2️⃣ Nuisance Vehicles
• Cars or motorbikes being driven dangerously
• Revving engines, wheel‑spinning, off‑road biking
• Vehicles gathering in local hotspots causing disturbance

3️⃣ Rowdy or Aggressive Behaviour
• Intimidating groups
• Verbal abuse
• Threatening behaviour in public spaces

4️⃣ Vandalism & Criminal Damage
• Graffiti
• Damage to property, parks, fences, bus shelters

5️⃣ Littering & Environmental ASB
• Fly-tipping
• Leaving mess in public areas
• Dog fouling

6️⃣ Misuse of Public Spaces
• Drinking alcohol in restricted areas
• Blocking pathways
• Climbing on buildings or structures

📞 How to Report ASB

If you experience or witness ASB, please report it so we can take appropriate action. Every report helps build a clearer picture.

👉 In an emergency🚨999 — if a crime is happening now or someone is in immediate danger.

👉 Non‑emergency ASB 📞101 — for ongoing issues, nuisance behaviour, concerns about individuals or groups.

👉 Online 🖥️ Report ASB through the police force website (quick, easy and can be done any time).

👉 Crimestoppers🔒0800 555 111 — to give information anonymously.

👉 Housing or council ASB. Certain types of ASB (noise, neighbour disputes, fly‑tipping) can also be reported to your local council or housing provider.
