Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch

Good Morning,

Over the years , as part of being a Community Policing Team Officer, I have worked in conjunction with many members of SNWA and have found them all to have a wealth of knowledge about the community they live and work in. This is still very true today , they form an important support network for the whole community.

How much do you know about Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch?

Neighbourhood Watch is about people getting together with their neighbours to take action to reduce crime.

They're community initiatives owned and run by their members which are supported by the police but not owned by them.

The Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch Association aims to:

Raise the public perception of Neighbourhood Watch.
Foster closer links with the Police and other partnerships.
Strengthen Neighbourhood Watch networks and help them expand.
Give support and training to co-ordinators where required.
Help reduce crime and the fear of crime as well as developing community spirit.
Initiate community projects.
Discover and promote ‘Best Practice’ from within the county and from other Watch Associations.
Represent Suffolk members when engaging with the Neighbourhood Watch Network national organisation.
