Burglary of Gregory & Co. Jewellers in Richmond over Weekend

Dear Richmond Residents, Business Owners and Staff,

You may be aware of the brazen attack on a jewellery store in Paved Court, Richmond at around 1030hrs on Saturday 31st January 2026. Footage has circulated showing two assailants smashing the shopfront window with a sledgehammer and stealing items in view of concerned members of the public. We recognise the concern that is understandably felt in our business community and amongst all Richmond communities of witnessing such a brazen crime in full public view in our town centre.

I wanted to let you know that our local officers were on scene within 12 minutes, and a comprehensive investigation commenced immediately. Whilst the offenders have not yet been identified or detained we will be relentless in bringing these people to justice and are pursuing several lines of inquiry. I will update you at the appropriate time with developments. In the meantime investigating officers are supporting the victims in this case.

One obvious line of enquiry, that you will be able to support us with is CCTV from the public or local businesses. Please may I ask if any businesses or homes have relevant CCTV, Doorbell Camera footage or other images or video, that you reply to this message and we will respond to you directly.
