Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Addiscombe West received information that drug users were congregating in the area of Canning Road, and that they were there at that moment, as we were already out on patrol, we went straight there, and found a male hiding behind the bin in the covered bin shed. After a search and a little bit of investigation we found out that the male was wanted for failing to appear at court. An arrest was made and he was taken to custody, whereby he will attend court tomorrow.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
