Monthly Community Update from Sgt Stopher-Murray |
||||
|
Dear All, As we move through the month I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area in January and what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
Chelmsley Wood and Smithswood NHT’s conducted a joint off road bike operation across the North of the borough on Saturday 24th January targeting those involved in serious youth violence and robbery offences. The teams were also joined by off road bikers and traffic vehicles from the road harm prevention team as well as officers from the force drone unit, safer travel and guardian task force.
The operation was successful and resulted in two bikes being seized, two riders reported for process and several intelligence opportunities which the teams will progress for future enforcement. We have more of these operations planned so please let us know of any areas of concern and we will keep a look out Email: smithswood@westmidlands.police.uk
🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement We are still looking to set up a Smiths wood and Kinghurst street watch so please get in touch Email: smithswood@westmidlands.police.uk Street Watch | West Midlands Police
