🚔 Riverside Neighbourhood Policing – Weekly Roundup! 🚔 👮♀️ High Visibility Patrols at DMU Following the recent tragic incident at De Montfort University, our PCSO and PC teams have been carrying out regular patrols on campus. We’ve been speaking with students, staff and members of the public, offering reassurance and questions where we can. 🚑 Quick Response to East Gates Collision PCSO Phil and PCSO Hafsa were first on scene at a road traffic collision this week after a pedestrian was struck. Thankfully, the individual is recovering well with no serious injuries. Great teamwork ensuring the area was made safe and witnesses supported. ⚖️ Supporting a High Profile Court Case PC Fabian has spent the week at coroner’s court assisting with a significant case, providing professionalism and consistency throughout the proceedings. 🚴 Bike Register Success at LRI The team set up a bike registration event near the Leicester Royal Infirmary, helping members of the public safeguard their bicycles and reduce cycle theft. A big thank you to everyone who came along! 🌃 Keeping the Nightlife Safe PC Callum, PC Merryn and Sgt Wilson have been out supporting Leicester’s night time economy, working alongside our response colleagues to keep venues, visitors and staff safe throughout the evenings. 🏘️ Protecting Vulnerable People Our officers have continued working with local partners to check on addresses that may be at risk of exploitation or linked to drug-related activity. This forms part of our quarterly priorities to support vulnerable individuals and tackle drug harm in our communities. 🎓 DMU Open Day Engagement And today, PCSO Phil and PCSO Hafsa were back at DMU for the open day—meeting students, answering questions and showing how we work with the university community. As always, please report any concerns or issues via the Leicestershire Police website, 101, or in case of an emergency, 999. #inyourcommunity #yousaidwedid
