*LOCAL UPDATE*

Evening,

On 05/02/2026, a young male was arrested in the area of the Sutton Estate, for Possession with Intent to Supply Class B Drugs. Officers had been in the area conducting a pro-active patrol, when the individual was found in suspicious circumstances and searched under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search, the male was found in possession of three mobile devices, three sealer bags containing drugs, snap bags, and cash. That individual has been released with conditions preventing them from re-entering our area. This is whilst the further enquiries are completed to secure a charge.

We have a genuine concern for young people in the area that are engaging in this activity and we have lots planned as we move forward to address this issue. Please could I encourage anyone with information that could assist to ensure it is reported by either Crimestoppers, or 101.
